So it's Winter still in August & we decided to go see the Little Penguins (that's what they're really called) on Phillip Island. It's away from the bay, more towards the ocean. There are lots of fun things to do on the small island but we decided to keep it simple & just play on the beaches, it was a bit cold but we were prepared. The penguins come in each night from the ocean at dusk & you can watch them from a wooden deck waddle on past you back to their nests. Unfortunately we couldn't take photos, but it was fun to see them in their natural habitat. They are about 16 inches tall & the smallest of the penguin family.
