Happy Anniversary!

 Our anniversary is October 22nd & this year it was number 17.  We celebrated last year on our trip to Melbourne to see if we could really live here.  We drove all around Melbourne & I remember looking over at Dan & falling deeper in love with him because he could roll out of an international flight at 6:00am in the morning & safely navigate driving on the other side of the road in an unfamiliar city.  We stayed downtown at the Crown Metropol crownmetropol.com.au.  That was fun since we'd never been away from our kids (for that long) & my mom even potty trained Lizzy while we were away! We also had a chance to eat at one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurant's.  We tried to imagine uprooting our family & finding "the right place" to plant ourselves again.  It was overwhelming, & so much easier to go through it all with sweet Dan!  Here are some pics from last year.

This year we are planning to go to Lygon Street for a casual Italian dinner in the city.  But first, we'll be stopping by Costco to pick up a food processor.  I found this wall sticker thewallstickercompany.com.au in commemoration of this anniversary.  It has the names of towns down the peninsula that we've visited (and some we have yet to visit).  Not exactly the exciting "downtown" anniversary like last year, but the company will be just as nice.
